Insight to my Work Experience at Success Recruit
Having finished my A levels in 2019, I had no idea what I wanted to do next. I decided to take a gap year to see if I could figure it out. During this time, I really wanted to try new things that would be out of my comfort zone.
So, in September I went to Borneo, Indonesia on my own for 3 months to do voluntary work, which was an amazing experience.
Having returned to the UK, I had no further plans of what I wanted to do next, however, I knew I wanted to get a job to start my career. With very little work experience and little knowledge of what I wanted to do, I wanted to do something that I never imagined myself doing which was office work. I approached Success Recruit and they offered me 2 weeks of work experience with them during February 2020. Although I was hesitant at first, I am so glad I accepted. Success Recruit gave me the chance to experience what it is like to work in an office. All of the Success Recruit team were so welcoming. I was able to learn about the processes of a recruitment agency, how they answer phone calls, how they search for candidates and how the team works together as one! After the first few days they gave me the chance to do some resourcing myself. Being able to do that shows the trust and confidence that everyone in the office has. Having enjoyed the first 2 weeks so much, they offered me another 2 weeks on top of the original, which I obviously accepted!
