Could dressing well boost your career prospects?
Whilst we grapple with a continued balance of working life between hybrid/remote/full time office working, it is interesting to read that 88% of us believe dressing well can boost our career prospects (HR Strategy News – Sep ’24).
It is considered that 91% of us believe our clothing choices influence how we are perceived by colleagues whilst 73% agree that dressing professionally is seen as competent and professional, potentially enhancing how you perform and feel whilst doing your job and career progression chances.
Woking from home or the office, your work wardrobe could be significantly different. Whether you believe in ‘dressing to impress’ or professional expectations not being so rigid and, as someone who has worked within the corporate and not so corporate world, it’s about understanding your audience, what makes you feel confident enabling you to be proud of you and maybe having those recruitment choices you deserve.
