Success Recruit spoke to me about a new Finance Manager position at Yewdale in March 2017.
The role and the company background were outlined in great detail and as a result I welcomed the opportunity to be put forward as a candidate.
The interview process was different in having the opportunity to meet the staff and have a look around the business as well as a short presentation back to the Yewdale Management team.
The team at Success Recruit at all times kept me informed on what the process entailed and gave excellent advice on content and format of the presentation – as a result I joined Yewdale in June 2017 and am ongoing in employment.
At that time the finance function at Yewdale was outsourced and the main requirement of the role was to build an in-house finance team to support the growth plans for the business
Since joining I have been able to draw on experiences from my career to build the Finance team in Yewdale which now consists of 4 people. The Management Accounts are all generated in house together with annual Budgets, Cash Forecasting and an enhanced Credit Control function.
As a result the Directors are able to have:
- a clearer and more timely view of how the business is running
- more detail and analysis on the costs going through the company,
- the ability to measure actual performance against budgeted and understand the variances
- through cash forecasting, the advance knowledge to be able to manage the peaks and troughs of the company cash position
The support and service that was offered to me whilst choosing my next important step within my career was superb and one I would recommend anyone getting in touch with the team to help when they decide to find a new senior management role.
